Narendra Modi to honour 32 teachers on the eve of Teachers Day

Gujarat’s Governor Dr Shrimati Kamlaji and Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will honour the state’s award winning teachers at a grand function at the Town Hall here tomorrow, on the eve of Teachers Day to commemorate India’s former President Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister’s dialogue with 1.50-crore school students in the state will be directly telecast through satellite.

This year recipients include 18 primary schools teachers, five secondary schools teachers, four higher secondary school teachers and five principals of secondary and higher secondary schools.

Each award winning teachers will be presented a cash prize of Rs.21,000 with citation on a silk cloth and a shawl.
