Mukesh Ambani praises Narendra Modi

Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, today hailed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi saying that he has a “bias” for action.

After recieving Chitralekha Person of the year-2007 award at the hands of Modi this evening here, Ambani said in his speech “I have seen Modi run Gujarat more efficiently than I run Reliance.”

He also paid tribute to his parents on the ocassion. “I consider this award to be a tribute to my father. If I am to implement just what he had envisioned, Reliance has 50 years work to do,” he said.

Earlier Narendra Modi said Mukesh was carrying on his father’s legacy. However, he said in lighter vein that “Dhirubhai courted controversies while Mukesh stays away from that.”

Modi further said reliance is playing a major role in transformation of rural economy.
